Inclement Weather: Amarnath Yatra to remain suspended for second consecutive day | KNO

Srinagar, Jul 06 (KNO): Authorities on Wednesday said that Amarnaath Yatra will continue to remain suspended for second consecutive in Jammu and Kashmir due to inclement weather. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they have decided to keep Amarnaath Yatra suspended on Wednesday as well due to inclement weather for safety of Yatris. He said that no yatri will be allowed to go towards the cave shrine neither from Chandanwari nor from Baltal route, besides pilgrims will not be allowed to move towards Kashmir from Jammu as well. Yatra remained suspended on Tuesday as well due to inclement weather. Meanwhile, officials told KNO that around 65,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine so far. Amarnath Yatra commenced on June 30 and will conclude on August 11 on the occasion of Raksha Bandan—(KNO)
